Workshop on Challenges in International Payment System and Mastering Letters of Credits

Understanding various International Payment systems and hedging the risk associated there with has always been a challenge to the all parties dealing in International Business. Letters of credit are generally treated as the safest way of ensuring payment by the seller and receipt of goods by the buyer but in practice many times LCs has proved itself as an ineffective instrument to the seller as well as to the buyer mainly due to its faulty structure , vague terms and conditions , ignorance related to the governing rules / features of underlying documents , etc.

Nevertheless usage of LCs has increased manifold in the recent years mainly due to the current global uncertain environment which has pushed many players to this guaranteed payment system instead of dealing in open account trade.

To update and to discuss on all these issues ASSOCHAM , N.Delhi in academic partnership with JIMS Rohini, N.Delhi is conducting one day interactive workshop on Challenges in International Payment System and Mastering Letters of Credits .
