Annual Pan India Corporate Visit
Introduction
Every year JIMS organizes Annual Pan India Corporate Visit during the month of September- October. As a part of this program the students visit various organizations throughout the country and apprise the corporate about the institute. The visit is planned prior to the Placement Season so that students gain an hands on experience about the corporate world. During these visits students are accompanied either by faculties or by CRMC members. The students cover all the major Corporate hubs of the country namely – Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi + NCR, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
Delhi forms the largest contributor as far as the number of organizations covered is concerned. The Delhi-NCR is again divided into sub-regions which are - Noida, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Okhla-Nehruplace, Connaught Place, South-Delhi and North-west Delhi.
Objectives
The primary aim is to prepare the students to meet expectations of the corporate world by taking feedback from the organizations in a face to face interaction.
The other objectives include:
- To facilitate intensive interaction of students and faculty with industry through seminars and conferences.
- To help students understand the intricacies of the corporate world by facilitating guest lecturers from the corporate which is an automatic outcome of this program only.
- To revitalize the existing relationships with the industry and to form new ties with new organizations in the dynamic business environment.
- To constantly upgrade the course curriculum as per the needs of the industry and to make students more industry-ready by the end of each session.
- To meet the alumnus in the respective organizations and to apprise them about latest developments in the institute.
